Home
This series is part of an ongoing project documenting the last remains of a house before its new owner begins the process of making it a home.  Reminders of past lives are tossed. Renovation, design, repairs, landscaping are painstakingly planned.

As the house becomes a home and then seasons, its care and decor become more casual, more personal.  A gift is placed on a shelf and forgotten, written reminders become more convenient than verbal warnings, a carefully chosen shrub overgrows its welcome.  The imprints pile on, becoming too numerous to even notice, too burdensome to carry to the next home.  These ghosts of the life that once filled the house are ultimately swept away, cleansing the palate for the new life that will fill the now abandoned space.
